It’s been foggy here, so I’ve been playing hide-and-go-seek with the sun.
The son and the dog.
so my mom bought some crab and she wasn’t ready to cook them yet
so i put them on the ground and yelled “BE FREE MY FELLOW CRUSTACEANS.” and they raised their claws like this:
I AM THE CRAB LORD.
My first giggle of the day. :)

One of my earliest childhood memories is snuggling in the back seat of my parents’ car with my favorite stuffed animal while they watched a movie here. We’d pack up a picnic basket and away we’d go. I also have fond memories of going to this drive-in with my mother and siblings, and my mother’s best friend and her kids. All eight of us would pile into Kay’s station wagon and head out. Since that time, I’ve taken my son to the movies here. Last summer, we saw a Clint Eastwood double feature: Trouble with the Curve and Gran Torino. In other words, it’s been a big part of my life.
The old, wooden screen shown in the picture above burned down a couple of years ago, but they’ve since rebuilt it using modular metal panels, which will prevent it from burning down again.
A little trivia: This is the same drive-in theater that was immortalized in Francis Ford Coppola’s movie The Outsiders, which was filmed here in Tulsa in 1982.
